Job Summary
As a Shipping Supervisor, you will be leading PocketPills Pharmacy Assistants in our dispensary to success. You will be utilizing your strong set of organization, Change Management, KPI Management, Planning and Prioritization, Mentoring and Motivating skills and people skills to ensure tasks are consistently being completed at their optimal level by organizing schedules, roles, responsibilities, and resolving any issues as they arise by working closely with the Pharmacy Manager & Director of Operations.
Responsibilities

  • Managing a team of last-mile operations fulfillment team including packers and shippers
  • Foster a conducive environment amongst the team members to promote a culture for success
  • Utilize all resources and tools available to ensure a timely delivery of the products to the customers
  • Coordinate with all logistics partners, track deliveries with the team and manage escalations
  • Develop a strategy/task allocation the team will use to reach its goal and delivery accurately
  • Prepare a cost and benefit assessment to constantly keep a track of the shipping costs
  • Drive execution and compliance on process-related changes
  • Provide any training, coaching/counselling that team members need to perform their task
  • Manage the flow of day-to-day operations and ensure all tasks are completed
  • Create a daily/weekly/ monthly progress report to update the organization on the team's achievements
  • Flexible to work long shifts and available during weekends

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience with at least two years in a planning and dispatching role
  • Knowledge of the logistics, supply chain and/or transportation industry preferred
  • Excellent customer service abilities with a natural desire to provide exceptional service and build strong relationships with the drivers
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize workflow to ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly understand and identify issues and propose solutions
  • Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Word and Excel

Qualifications

  • Lead a team of 5-15 team members reporting directly to you
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Pharmacy experience would be an asset
