The Role:

We are seeking an IT Manager to join our growing organization, reporting to the VP Operations. You will work at our Surrey, BC office location and will support all offices across Canada. The IT Manager will oversee the operations of the infrastructure, systems and processes.  You will  also be responsible for the procurement and setup of user workstations, laptops and software across Canada as well as providing day-to-day support to all of our employees.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create and build out processes and policies for IT services and IT asset management. 
  • Manage, plan, and implement the corporate technology infrastructure (network, storage, security,  on-premise and in cloud).
  • Plan and support software and hardware upgrades along with vendor management.
  • Onboard new hires by setting up new hardware, software and email access in a timely manner.
  • Administer and troubleshoot user workstations, software, network and office systems.
  • Coordinate the shipping and receiving of new hardware and user workstations.
  • Support employees from other provinces remotely by phone or chat using remote desktop integration.
  • Manage software licensing for all users and renewal of contracts.
  • Recommend new processes and procedures that will enhance the end user experience with technology.
  • Manage and maintain technology assets in an asset management system.
  • Performs routine hardware and software maintenance processes including upgrades, data recovery, configure printers, and anti-virus procedures.

 

 

Must-Haves:

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Technology related fields.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Technical support experience with Windows and Mac OS.
  • High attention to detail with excellent analytical skills. 
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and self-directed work priorities.
  • Ability to take initiative, prioritize and organize multiple tasks effectively and to see them through to timely completion. 
  • Experience working in a start-up environment is an asset.
  • Adaptable to change, possessing personal resilience, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with G-Suite is required.
